Back‑Country Campsites – Rustic, Secluded & Immersed in Nature
If you’re dreaming of true quiet, deep‑woods tranquility, and a classic “away from it all” camping experience, our Back‑Country Campsites are the perfect escape. These seven rustic sites sit about ⅓ mile down well‑established forest trails, giving you a peaceful, private setting completely surrounded by trees, birdsong, and the natural beauty of Pine Tree Center.
These sites are more primitive and intentionally simple — an excellent fit for seasoned campers, backpacking‑style groups, or anyone who wants their adventure a little more off the beaten path.
🌲 Rustic Amenities
Each Back‑Country Campsite includes: Fire ring | Picnic table | Space to set up multiple tents
There is also:
- One portable toilet located within the Back‑Country area
- Potable (drinkable) water available a short walk toward the Fire Circle at the nearest hydrant
These sites are all about simplicity, quiet, and immersion in nature.
⚠️ Best for Experienced Campers
Because of the hike‑in distance and rustic setup, the Back‑Country Campsites are not recommended for first‑time campers or campers with mobility challenges.
The experience is wonderfully peaceful — but it does require a bit of walking and carrying gear.
